Conflict Resolution
Workplace conflicts are inevitable. It is how you manage these conflicts that can lead to continued success or a downward spiral. Working through conflict takes an expert who understands how emotions impact the conflict, demonstrates empathy for the parties and can engage in active listening to really hear what the conflict is about and how the parties can work together for resolution.
There are many sources that a workplace conflict can occur. Some examples include:
- Poor communications
- Unclear expectations
- Time management
- Cloudy definition of employee roles
- Differing interests
- Competition for resources
HBJ Global Coaching works to:
- Identify the conflict
- Clarify the issue that is central to the conflict (which often is not what it first appears on the surface)
- Bring the parties together to understand themselves and the other parties in the conflict
- Working with the parties, identify and implement a constructive resolution to the conflict
- Where appropriate, create ways to monitor the follow up.
